Megan Ashton has a passion for exploring the world and all things health related. Her strong belief in the healing power of a whole foods based diet and healthy living lead her to the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition, where she obtained her Registered Holistic Nutritionist designation.
Despite her knowledge as an R.H.N, Megan continued to struggle because she felt like she didn’t have the ‘willpower’ to implement the diet and lifestyle changes that were necessary to optimize her health. If she couldn’t follow her own advice, she couldn’t possibly expect her clients to do so either. This led her to the HeartSong Hypnotherapy Center where she became a Clinical Hypnotherapist. Her hypnotherapy schooling allowed her to address the oftentimes subconscious mental roadblocks associated with making healthy changes.
Addressing the body and mind was fantastic, but Megan felt a piece of the puzzle was still missing - she needed to address the heart and soul in order to help herself and others achieve optimal health and happiness. This led her to India, where she studied under yoga guru Padma Nair. While in India, Megan obtained her Yoga Alliance Registered Yoga Teacher designation.
She now runs a unique business where she helps clients reach their health goals by taking a holistic approach that addresses not only their diet, exercise and lifestyle choices, but also any mental, emotional and/or spiritual blocks that they may be struggling with. When she is not working with clients, she pursues her other passion— writing. Megan loves to write because it allows her to share her knowledge on a mass scale. She currently has over 1,000 health related articles published, including a feature article in Canadian Living Magazine.
